Yellow Rose of Texas, Thanks, Crushed Curry, Gold Foil

These past several days have been an emotional “storm” (no pun intended) on all those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The aftermath and the recovery will most likely go on for years. There is just so much devastation, and heartbreak, it is quite overwhelming. Whether your home was flooded or not. Whether you help clean up or not. This storm has and will continue to affect folks in this region for a long time.

For me, I see the faces of all our first responders, and I am absolutely humbled by their “this is our job” attitude. Like pulling so many people from high water, by land, by boat, and even by air, is all in a day’s work! ┬áThese men and women are so humble, and so dedicated, I am in awe of them all! I cannot think of the appropriate way to say “thank you”.

I put together this card as a way to begin. But that’s just it a beginning. I need help! I would like to invite you and your friends to create “thank you’s” for the First Responders in my area.(Humble/Kingwood) My intention is to gather as many cards as I can and deliver them to my friends with our local fire department and constables office. It is only a small gesture, but one I think will be appreciated. It can be any type of thank you, and in any colors you like. It can be any size, and as embellished as you would like. The one thing you must do, SIGN IT!

From all of us in Southeast Texas, Thanks Y’all!

THE DETAILS: Deadline is September 30th. I will complete deliveries by Oct. 5th.
